LEAVING FOR CHINA
MISSIONARY DESIGNATE FAREWELL TO MISS I. TEBBS Miss Ina Tebbs, of Hamilton left today for Auckland en route to China, where, she will be engaged in missionary work. Miss Tebbs was born in Hamilton and completed her education at the Hamilton Technical High School She then took up nursi-ng for six years. She has been a member of the Baptist Church for the past 12 years. She entered the New Zealand Bible Training Institute and received two years’ tuition. She was accepted for missionary work with the China Inland Mission in 1939, but owing to the outbreak of war was detained ior 12 months.
Miss Tebbs was presented with a cheque by Mr R. G. Brownless, secretary of the Hamilton Baptist Church, on behalf of the congregation, and was the recipient of a presentation also from the Senior Christian Endeavour.
