ECONOMIC CONFERENCE
OPENING ARRANGEMENTS REVIEW BY HON. W. NASH (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday The conference which has been called by the Government to consider the possibility of stabilising costs, wages and prices in New Zealand, and to discuss the expansion of production generally, will begin in Parliament Buildings tomorrow, Wednesday. The opening discussion will probably be open to the press, though this will be a matter for the conference itself to decide. An owning statement giving the objects of the conference will be made by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, and this will be followed by an economic and financial review by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash. Also present will be the Hons. D. G. Sullivan, P. C. Webb, and W. Lee Martin, Ministers of Supply, Mines and Agriculture respectively.
