MATAMATA DANCE
OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION The Matamata Old Pupils’ Association held a successful dance in the Matamata Town Hall, which had been artistically decorated with streamers and greenery. Among those present were:—Mesdames E. Hall, blacky taffeta moire; M. Simpson, mist blue georgette; Brunton, floral craquelle. Misses Colleen Mclntyre (president of the 0.G.A.), forest green crepe romaine; Dorothy Chilton (secretary), rose red taffeta.; Betty Whitworth, black trevark; Hilda Chilton, green and gold taffeta; Mary Roigard, ivory hailstone net; Poynder Goodall, cameo pink Betty Cameron, black crepe de chine; Gwen Lewis (Waharoa), black panne velvet; Eileen Casey (Waharoa), floral crepe elaine; Phyllis Jagger, lemon taffeta; Noeline Hirst, Marina blue velvet; Violet Burton, fern green cobweb lace; Connie Williams, powder blue georgette; Hazel Latham, dusky pink romaine; M. Murdoch (Hawera), cerise invicta; Margaret Schwartz, black floral reverre; Myra Were, mauve taffeta; Marion Brunton, black taffeta moire; Joyce McVinnie, mauve taffeta; Jean Connell, black craquelle; J. Lowrie, leaf green taffeta.
