INGLESIDE HELD
CALEDONIAN SOCIETY Held in aid of funds for the band, the ingleside conducted by the Morrinsville Caledonian Society in the Waitoa Hall recently was most successful. Music for dancing was provided by the Morrinsville Novelty Orchestra, and an extra on the pipes was played by Master Alan Frampton.
Opportunity was taken by Chief W. G. Dunbar to thank all for their support, and he expressed the hope that the function would be repeated. Items given during the evening were much enjoyed, those contributing being as follows:—Misses Avis Frampton and Ailsa Clark (Irish jig); Misses Valerie Trotter and Avis Frampton (sword dance); Miss Yvonne Clements (skipping dance), Avis Frampton (Highland fling). Miss E. Scott (vocal items). The Morrinsville Pipe Band, under the leadership of Pipe-Major W. Munro, rendered items.
