FINANCE BILL PASSED (By Telegraph.—Preys Association) WELLINGTON, Friday A number of measures was dealt with by the Legislative Council today. The Roman Catholic Bishop of Dunedin Empowering Bill, the Carriage by Air Bill, the Housing Amendment Bill, the Greymouth Harbour Board Loan Bill, the Invercargill City Council Tramway Depreciation Fund Empowering Bill and the Wellington City Empowering Amendment Bill were put through the remaining stages and passed. Later the Statutes Amending Bill was reported from the Statutes Revision Committee and passed. After another adjournment, the Finance Bill No. 2 was received from the House of Representatives, put through all stages and passed. The Council adjourned until October 3.
