DELAYED AT NOUMEA
CLIPPER’S FLIGHT UNCERTAIN (By Telegrapn.—special to Times) AUCKLAND, Saturday Because of unfavourable weather reports, Pan American Airways’ American Clipper was held at Noumea yesterday and the flight to Auckland will not be made before tomorrow. A State dinner was to have been held at the Grand Hotel in honour of the prominent American visitors, but if they arrive tomorrow this will be abandoned. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Langstone, however, will meet them at an informal function. The 5 o’clock reception arranged by the Mayor has been cancelled.
