PRE-WEDDING PARTY

FOR MISS ROMA PARKER An enjoyable evening was spent at St. George’s Hall recenly at a dance given by Miss Joan Clark, in honour of Miss Roma Parker, who is to be married shortly. After a delightful supper the guest-of-honour opened the many parcels. On behalf of Miss Parker, Mr T. Parker thanked the hostess and guests for their kindness. Music was supplied by Mr B. Hulme, of Cambridge, and extras were played by Miss H. Clough and Mr W. Congalton. Mr S. Buckland acted as master of ceremonies. Miss Roma Parker wore a charming gown of Marina green chiffon over cyclamen, and Miss Joan Clark was in white sprigged organza. ( Those present were:—Mrs T. J Parker, wearing midnight blue veli vet: Mrs F. T. Nolan, blue satin. Misses B. Muir, amyihest chiffon, O. Day. violet net; T. Bremer, lilac taffeta’: H. Clough, blue embroidered organdi; N. Rowe, green shot taifeta; A. Forseman, blue taffeta and floral bolero; J. Jagger, black taffeta; L. Perham, daffodil anglaise; R. Holmes, sunburnt crepe; A. Pearcey, shaded green taffeta; K. Wallace, green sprigged organza; R. Graham, green coin spotted net over taffeta; B. Waters, ice blue taffeta.
