ENGAGEMENT PARTY

A happy birthday tea, followed by a picture party, was given on Saturday by Mr and Mrs J. Cherrie at their home in Young Street, to celebrate the engagement of their only daughter, Joan, to Mr Desmond Davis, of Tauranga. The rooms were artistically decorated with narcissi and Iceland poppies. The guests were received by Mrs Cherrie, who wore a becoming navy dress relieved with white.
