HUNT DANCE

FOR FENCOURT RED CROSS Merrymaking and gaiety characterised a dance arranged by members of the Waikato Hunt, when the day’s hunting was brought to a happy conclusion on Saturday night. Held in the Fencourt Hall, the function was organised to assist the funds of the Fencourt sub-entre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society. Streamers of “hunting pink” formed a canopy above the dance floor and Syd Strang’s orchestra played music for the dancing. Among the dancers were: —Mesdames A. J. Swayne, M. C. Turney, J. Wattam, Kenneth Myers (Auckland), Neill Louisson (Auckland), Wiggins (Maramarua), R. S. Alford, S. Symes (Maramarua), Seton Otway, Ryall, S. Haines, B. R. C. Townend, R. Rowan (Auckland), J. Bailey (Tirau), T. P. Coles (Matangi), P. H. Smith (Pakuranga), Mavton, Frank Baker, C. R. Haworth, J. Kelly, Fullarton Johnson, lan Smith, Austin Yarndley (Te Awamutu). Misses Rhoda Brown, Shirley Watkins (Auckland), Clayton-Greene, Kathleen P’isher, Peg McDougall, Gwen Bru'nskill, Lily Bone, Amy Haycock, Doreen Wattam, Min Peake, D. Davidson (Pakuranga), Claire Garland, Norma Johns (Eureka), Josephine McGovern, Ranstead, Joyce Lewis, Lynsie Lewis, Kit Ranstead, Parker (Whatawhata), Joyce Ambury (Hamilton), Pat Ambury (Hamilton).
