WAIKATO HUNT

VISITING CLUBS ENTERTAINED ; BREAKFAST AT CAMBRIDGE j The host and hostess of the Masonic Hotel at Cambridge, Mr and Mrs Culpan, entertained members of I the Waikato Hunt Club and their visitors, members of the Pakuranga end Maramarua Clubs to a hunt breakfast on Saturday. This jolly function preceded a two-day hunting visit from members of the above clubs, whose stay included a day’s sport yesterday. The master, Mr Wynn Brown, thanked “mine host” and Mrs Culpan j l'or their hospitality, the appreciation of the assembly being voiced in no uncertain manner. Horses and hounds then moved off for the Pukel'imu district, where despite poor scent, an enjoyable afternoon’s sport provided some good runs. Several made jumps on either side of the road and afforded spectators in cars an opportunity to see the hunters jumping. When the hounds were finally whipped in, the field and others present were entertained to afternoon tea by Mr and Mrs V. Graham, of Kaipaki. Reference was made by the master, to the pleasure felt in welcoming the visitors from the sister clubs who were present in representative numbers. Mr Fagan, of the Maramarua Hunt Club, responded, and Mr A. Milne, of the Pakuranga Club, led memebrs in musical honours for the Waikato Club. A large number of lady riders were among the visitors, noticed in the saddle being Mesdames Neill Louisson (Pakuranga), Kenneth ' Myers (Pakuranga), Miles Bailey (Maramarua), Marshall (Maramarua), R. Rowan (Pakuranga), Misses Margaret Symes (Maramarua), D. Weston (Pakuranga), Dorothy Davidson (Pakuranga), M. Wilson (Paku•ranga). Lady riders of the Waikato Hunt were:—Mesdames J. M. Allen (Morrinsville), J. Ryall (Aria), J. Bailey (Tirau), A. Yarndley (Te Awamutu), Graeme Porritt, Fullarton Johnson, F. H. Bird. Misses Kit Ranstead (Matangi), Peg McDougall, Coles, Ruth Nickle, Kathleen Fisher, Pat Nickle, Molly Waugh and Nan Ranstead (Matangi). Among spectators in cars were:— Mesdames A. M. Fisher, V. Graham, j J Ranstead, Noakes (Auckland), S. : Haines, D. L. Falls, A. A. Moore, A. j J. S. Richardson, C. R. Haworth, Roy j Fisher, H. P. Nelson, Austin Yarndl ley (Te Awamutu), H. C. Tod, H.
