FAREWELL TO SOLDIERS

There was a large attendance at the Town Hall, Kihikihi, recently, when a social and dance was held to farewell the soldiers leaving the Kihikihi district. Enjoyable music was played by Mrs E. Holmes, an extra being contributed by Mrs A. R. Kay. Items during tl?e evening were given by Mrs Ramsey, Te Mawhai, Mrs H. Giles, Te Awamutu, Miss P. Giles, Te Awamutu, Mr H. Parker, Te Awamutu, and Mr Whitlock, of Tokanui. Miss P. North acted as accompanist.

During the evening, Mr A. Maunder, chairman of the Town Board, addressed the soldiers, wishing them every success and a safe return. .Each soldier was presented with a small gift.
