FATAL COLLISION
MOTOR-CYCLE AND CAR RACING PATRON’S SON • s (Bv Teiegraph.—Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday Severe concussion which resulted in his death two and a half hours later was received by a motor-cyclist in a collision with a car in New Plymouth last night. The victim was:— Mr Harold Burkley Nolan, aged 23, of New Plymouth. Neither the car which was driven by Dr. P. C. Davie of New Plymouth, nor the motor-cycle was extensively damaged. Mr Nolan apparently received his injuries when he was thrown from the machine. He was the younger son of Mr L. A. Nolan, patron of the Taranaki Jockey Club and for many years president, late of New Plymouth. Mr Nolan, who was married last May, was well known in hunting circles. He raced two horses in partnership with his brother.
