JIGGER DRIVER KILLED FOOT CAUGHT WHEN JUMPING SPECIAL TRAIN ON LINE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday Late yesterday afternoon when a special train from Taumarunui to Ohakune was travelling slowly through a cutting near Owhango, it met two jiggers on the line. The driver of the first jigger, Mr Thomas George Sullivan, had his foot entangled as he tried to jump clear before the impact. He was seriously injured and died in hospital. He was a married man aged 25.
