OHAUPO ORPHANS
ENJOYABLE FINAL SESSION “The best evening this season” was the general opinion of those attending the final session of the 1940 season of the Ohaupo Orphans’ Club. The President, Bro. S. H. Price, presided and a number of visitors from the Hamilton Club was present. Items were given by Mesdames J. Battersby, E. Quill, Messrs K. Eade, B. Hey, J. Emmet (Magic) and the Harmonic Four, Messrs J. T. Battersby, K. Eade, E. Quill and G. Wheeler and Miss M. Forsyth (Highland dancing). Community singing Was led by Bro E. Quill. Mrs Forsyth and Mr J. Battersby provided the music for dancing. It is likely that a special evening Iwill be held early in September to welcome Bros. Col. Loach and E. Todd, of Christchurch, on their anI nual visit to the clubs in the Auckland district.
