HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT

PERFORMANCE OF HIGH MERIT The third and final performance of the Hamilton High School concert on Saturday night was enjoyed by an audience which filled the school assembly hall. Performers had gained confidence from the first two nights, and freedom from restraint marked the whole programme. Splendid choir singing and the graceful work of ten girls in a fencing display were followed by the enjoyable farce “The Invisible Duke,” in which the cast of six showed marked ability in both stagecraft and interpretation. In “Trial By Jury” the puoils secured such happy Gilbert and Sullivan atmosphere that the limitations were forgotten. All the ’ i were pleasing and the play ; l nothing in the acting.
