WELL-KNOWN JOURNALISTS . ON THE CLIPPER (9j Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday The party of American journalists travelling by the Clipper, which is due at Auckland next Thursday, contains men whose names are well known. Besides Mr Harold Callender, of the New York Times, the party comprises Mr Roy W. Howard, head of the Scripps-Howard Newspaper Syndicate (chairman); Mr Jack Walsh, publisher of the Kalamazoo Gazette, representing Associated Press; Mr Jeames Bassatt, the Australian-born aviation editor and special writer of the Los Angeles Times, representing Associated Press Features Service; Mr Stephen Richards, head of the United Press Bureau of Detroit, expert writer on Australia and the East; Mr Peter Edson, of Cleveland, Ohio, special feature writer of the Newspaper Enterprise Association; Mr W. W Chaplin, special correspondent lately with the British Expeditionary Force in France, representing International News Service; Mr Michael Forsted, editor of the King Features Sydnicate; Mr Royal Gunnison, special writer of the San Francisco Chronicle, representing the North American Newspaper Alliance; Mr Ansel Talbert, aviation editor of the New York Herald-Tribune syndicate; and Mr Ward Morehouse, columnist and travel writer representing the New York Sun.
