NGARUAWAHIA DANCE

TERRITORIALS ENTERTAIN The colours of red, white and blue v/ere very much in evidence in the scheme of decorations in the Town Hall, Ngaruawahia, on Thursday evening, when the officers and N.C.O.’s Ist Field Regiment, N.Z. Artillery, held a dance. The hall was filled to capacity, dancers being present from all the surrounding districts. Streamers of red, white and blue made a festoon over the dancing floor and the stage was attractively arranged with curtains of the same shades. The supper tables were arranged with bowls and vases of spring flowers with sprays of japonica placed at intervals. Music was supplied by Mrs P. Connolly’s orchestra and Lieutenant Fenwick was master of ceremonies.

Much of the success of the function was due to the work of the ladies’ committee of the Ngaruawahia Returned Soldiers’ 1 Association and to the visitors, whose presence added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening.
