ANNUAL CONCERT
WHATAWHATA SCHOOL An enjoyable concert given by the Whatawhata School children, was held in the Whatawhata Hall recently. Parents and friends were entertained with part singing, pianoforte solos, pianoforte and violin duets, dancing and original plays. Backward drill presented by a number of junior boys caused much amusement. At the close of the concert three small pupils presented Mrs McKenzie and the two teachers, Mrs Parker and Miss Fitzsimmons with bouquets. Mr S. G. Russell, secretary of the school committee, congratulated the teachers and pupils on the success of the evening. After a delicious supper had been served, old-time dancing was enjoyed, music being supplied by Mrs A. Chris, Miss D. Higginson and Miss B. Madill. Among those present were:—Mesdames K. McKenzie, C.
