RONALD COLMAN
IN “LIGHT THAT FAILED” KIPLING STORY FILMED Ronald Colman’s latest film is “The Light that Failed,” a screen version i of Kipling’s tragedy of blindness. Besides the casting of Colman as the pathetic hero, the film has two ■ other points of strong interest. | The first is that it brings Walter Huston back to the screen after a j long, self-imposed absence. The other i is that the English actress, Aluriel i Angelus, has been given the leading j feminine role.
Another British girl is also in the cast. She is Ida Lupino, who is appearing as the Cockney. To maintain the strongly British flavour, Dudley Digges, veteran of the Abbey Theatre, has a prominent part, as also has Colin Tapley, the actor from New Zealand. Ra Hould, the New Zealand lad, appears as Ronald Colman when a boy.
