Peter Barnes (32) and James Richards (29) were sentenced to death for murder in the explosion at Coventry on October 6. Joseph Hewitt and his wife and mother-in-law were found not guilty, but face other indictments. Counsel declared that the paymaster in this case might not be in Dublin, but might be further afield.
