CONTROL OF WOOL
PLEA FOR CO-OPERATION URGENT PROBLEMS FACED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Dec. 15, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14 Pleading fuller co-operation between the “Wool Control” and all elements of the trade for a solution of the urgent and important problems confronting, the trade, the chairman of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Mr Harold Brown, in a speech at the company’s annual meeting, said: “Is it too much to ask that wool controls should be limited to those really necessary to protect vital national interests? It must be ensured that the best use is made of the Dominion clips. Only thus can be avoided tne embarrassing problems which must arise from a growing raw wool surplus.” A deputation from the British Wool Federation waited on Dr. L. Burgin concerning the effect of wool control. Dr. Burgin promised an investigation.
