AROUND THE GREENS
BOWLING IN HAMILTON TOURNAMENT AT RAILWAY A one-day tournament will be held at the Railway Bowling Club’s greens to-morrow. With large entries and the greens in excellent order, play in the tournament should reach a high standard. The Hamilton Club will be holding its official opening to-morrow and many visiting bowlers are expected. The opening of the Hamilton Club is always one of the highlights of the bowling season in the district and to-morrow’s function should prove no exception. Challenge matches for the Waikato Shields will be also played to-mor-row, the rinks match being at the Hamilton Club’s greens and the pairs match at the Frankton Club’s greens.
RAGLAN CLUB PROGRESSIVE PAIRS MATCH (Special to Times) RAGLAN, Thursday. The Raglan Bowling Club’s strength has risen from 20 players last year to 50, and this phenomenal increase has taxed the A recent progressive pairs match was won by Pascoe (skips) with 4 wins, 1 loss; and Hunter (leads) with 5 wins.
