HAMILTON CRICKET

COMPETITIONS RESUME SECOND SERIES OF MATCHES OLD BOYS PLAYS CLAUDELANDS The second series of matches in the Hamilton cricket competitions will commence tomorrow, when, on account of the excellent displays over the past two weeks, great interest will be taken in the senior A fixtures. The excellent display of Claudelands last Saturday will add interest to its match with Old Boys as Old Boys is at present in the lead. Claudelands gave a great display at the crease but it will have to produce a more varied attack and better fielding is it is to have a chance of keeping Old Boys’ batsmen down to reasonable scores. The other match between Hamilton East and Hamilton will also attract considerable attention as the Hamilton team is better than its performances over the past two weeks would indicate. Of course the weather will be a deciding factor in both games, but if conditions are good the batsmen should be able to produce some bright displays. The senior B and junior games will also be continued, and here again the good cricket of the first series should be continued. The draw is as follows: Senior A Old Boys v.
