BIGAMOUS MARRIAGES

WOMEN TRAP SOLDIERS CFrom a Correspondent) SYDNEY, October 27 A senior military officer at the Victoria Barracks to-night issued a general warning to single men. who have joined the special A.1.F., against being enticed by women into marriage in order that they may receive the soldiers’ pay allotment. It was explained by the officer that he was not endeavouring to dissuade soldiers from marrying, but he was against those women who were willing to commit bigamy in order to secure money. There were several instances in the last war of women drawing allotments for as many as six soldiers each.
