Royal Appellant was also responsible for a good trial over a mile. Bronze Fire opened proceedings by running four furlongs in 50 3-ss, arter taking 12 3-5 s for tne initial furlong. British Talent, who had a good deal the better of the weight, was in front oi Trevace at the end of five in 1.4 3-5, the first two taking 25 s. Bide-a-\Vee finished clear or Royal Son over a hair-mile in 535. Over the same ground Trilliarch recorded 52 2-ss. There was nothing between Fidelis and Every Port at the end or six furlongs in 1.22 2-5. They went Tast early, their firs* three furlongs being covered in 39 l-ss. Pern had an advantage over Hot Shot at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.21 4-5.
