SUMMARY AND BEVERLEY SMART HALF-MILE EFFORT SEBROF’S GOOD FIVE .By Teietfrapn cperfiil to rimPf AUCKLAND. Thursday Conditions Avere again peri'ect this morning for the final gallops at Ellerslie of horses engaged at Avondale. The course proper, with the poles sort, out, was available lor fast work and the best efforts were those of Worton over three furlongs, Bronzeilre, Summary and Beverley half-a-mile and Sebrof over five furlongs. Royal Appellant was also responsible for a good trial over a mile. Bronze Fire opened proceedings by running four furlongs in 50 3-ss, arter taking 12 3-5 s for tne initial furlong. British Talent, who had a good deal the better of the weight, was in front oi Trevace at the end of five in 1.4 3-5, the first two taking 25 s. Bide-a-\Vee finished clear or Royal Son over a hair-mile in 535. Over the same ground Trilliarch recorded 52 2-ss. There was nothing between Fidelis and Every Port at the end or six furlongs in 1.22 2-5. They went Tast early, their firs* three furlongs being covered in 39 l-ss. Pern had an advantage over Hot Shot at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.21 4-5. Royal Appellant Pleases Royal Appellant responsible for n good eirort over a mile which he completed m 1.46, the first half taking 5 1 4-ss. He was assisted over the last six by Bright Idea in 1.20 1-5 and there was not much between them at the end.
The two-year-olds. Rara Avis and Taane Parigu, reeled off hair-a-mile in 52 l-5s and were on teims at the finish.
The best trial over five furlongs went to Mon Acre, who was slightly In front of Sebrof alter running 1.3 4-5, the last three In 38 3-ss.
Worton was responsible for tbe best trial over three furlongs, completing bis task in 3 6 3-ss.
Beverley and Summary came home from the half-mile in 50 l-ss. They ran the first in 12 4-5 s and there was little between them at the post. Happicoat ran three furlongs In company with udtaa in 3: 3-ss. They went from the six to tbe three furlong post and
Odtaa continued on but was easing up at the end of six in 1.26 4-5.
