DUNEDIN REGISTRATIONS (Special to Timet.) DUNEDIN, Tuesday The most noticeable feature of the vital statistics for Dunedin during October was the marked Increase in the number of marriages registered compared with the same period last year. Registrations for the past month numbered 107, as against 76 for October of last year. The number of births recorded

during October of this year also showed a fairly substantial increase over those registered in October, 1938, the totals being 146 and 123 respectively, while the 76 deaths which occurred during the past month represented a of six compared with the total for the same month last year.
