SUCCESSFUL CONCERT

AT HOPU HOPU CAMP Under the auspices of the Waikato Hospital Sunshine League, organised by Mrs I. Owsley, an enjoyable concert was given at the military camp at Hopu Hopu. The programme opened with an orchestral selection by Mrs McLachlan (piano), Miss Y. McLachlan (’cello) and Miss Jean McLachlan (violin), and then followed items by the following: Mrs Colin Wilson, song; Miss Y. McLachlan, ’cello solo; Miss J. Rowe, song and dance; Mr J. Ball, banjo-mandolin; Mrs T. J. Jury, song; Mr T. Lerkie, mouthorgan selections; Miss J. Owens, song; Mrs McLachlan, banjo solo; Miss Y. McLachlan, action song; Mr T. Barnett, tap dancing; Miss J. Mclachlan, sailor’s hornpipe. The accompanists were Mrs McLachlan and Mr Bernard Wilson.
