FIRE AT FRANKTON

STOREROOM DESTROYED QUANTITY OF »GOODS LOST A call was received by the Hamilton Fire Brigade at 5.34 p.m. yesterday to an outbreak of fire in a building in Norton Road, Frankton, owned by the State Advances Corporation and occupied by Mr Alan Heald. The fire was in an outbuilding consisting of a wash-house, garage and storeroom, the last being completely destroyed. Mr Heald is an agent for the Farmers’ Trading Company, Auckland, and his storeroom contained miscellaneous goods, including a washing machine, a wireless set, two or three vacuum cleaners and several batteries. All were destroyed. The fire was quickly extinguished by the brigade _
