FURTHER ENLISTMENTS

TOTAL REACHES 1379 MAORI BATTALION FIGURES Bringing the total for the No. 4 military area to 1379, a further six enlistments for the New Zealand Special Force were received at the Army Headquarters, Hamilton, yesterday. The names of the latest volunteers, are as follows:

Frederick Alcock, Philip Alcock, Arthur Eric Anderson, Charles Herbert Brogden, John Elvin Noel Stuart, and Richard Terence Wragg.

Enrolments for the Maori battalion to serve with the Special Force closed yesterday with a total in the No. 4 area of 78. The medical examination will take place shortly, and it is expected that the Maoris will go into camp early in the New Year.
