BREWERIES AWARD
CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS (By Telegraph.—Pres* Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday The Counciliation Council met today to discuss the proposed award for brewery workers in all districts except Nelson and Otago and Southland. Mr W. J. Mountjoy, employers’ advocate, referred to it as the first award that could be termed a Dominion award. He said the employers wanted to make it clear that they were not in a position to offer any increase in wages, and had tried in their counter proposals to keep as closely as possible to present award conditions.
