LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 In the Pacific South-west tennis championship Quist (Australia) beat Cooke, 6—3, 5—7, 6 —4, and entered the quarter-finals. Hopman (Australia) beat Clewine, national interschools’ champion, 6—2, 2—6, 6—3, and will meet Riggs in the quarterfinals. Bromwich (Australia) beat Kramer, 6—l, 6—3, and will meet E. Schroeder, national junior champion, in the quarter finals. Hopman and Crawford (Australia) beat V. Hughes and C. Carr, 6 —3. 6—4, in the doubles and entered the quarter-finals. Mrs Moody and Quist beat Miss Bundy and Pallada, 6—l, 6—l, in the combined doubles.
