COMING STOCK SALES
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, draw attention to their Putaruru stock sale to take place on October 2, at which fixture they will offer 100 head of cattle and 150 fat and store pigs; also to their Waihou bull sale to be held on the same date, when 250 bulls of all breeds will come forward. Visiting Bowlers A party of Victorian bowlers who competed in the Golden Gate Exhibition bowling tournament at San Francisco early this month arrived at Auckland on the Monterey yesterday. They were invited to play on the Auckland green and three games were played, the local teams being successful in each case. ANOTHER MATTER “ Papa, what is a traitor in politics?” “A traitor is a man who leaves our party and goes over to the other.” “But what is a man who leaves his party and comes over to yours?” “A convert, my boy.”
