RATEPAYERS MEET
HAMILTON EAST ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Hamilton East Ratepayers’ Association was held on Tuesday, when Mr J. Boyd presided in the absence of the president of the association, Mr R. G. HowelL After reviewing the past year, Mr Boyd expressed the hope that the association would continue to follow its policy of concentrating on constructive criticism, and of making suggestions for the benefit of Hamilton East and the borough as a whole. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr R. G. Howell; vicepresidents, Messrs H. G. Young and S. Handley; secretary, Mr L. Johnston; treasurer, Mr J. Boyd; auditor, Mr K. Johnstone; committee, Messrs J. Nichols, W. Bourne and F. Best.
