NORTON—LAMBERT IVORY LACE GOWN St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church was the scene of a charming wedding on Saturday, August 12, when Phyllis Helen, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs C. C. Lambert, “Awakiwi,” Melville, was married to Leonard Albert, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Norton, Tramway Road, Claudelands. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. G. Gilbert and Mr E. H. Apthorp presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory lace over knife pleated satin made in redingote style, the skirt forming a train. She wore a beautiful tulle veil appliqued at the corners with satin horseshoes and flowers, and an orange blossom tiara. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies, white daphne and lily-of thevalley, arranged with maidenhair fern. The Attendants In attendance as matron of honour was the bride’s sister, Mrs A. K. Lines, Cambridge, wearing beige lace over salmon pink taffeta. Miss Katherine Lambert, Auckland, cousin of the bride, who wore pink lace over taffeta, was bridesmaid. They wore short tulle veils and flowers on their heads, and they carried bouquets of pink and pale gold asters and roses arranged with maidenhair fern. Mr George Norton, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and Mr Laurence Norton was groomsman. After the ceremony, the reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Melville, where the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a navy tailored costume, accessories to tone, and a shoulder spray of pink flowers. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a navy tailored costume and toning accessories. Her shoulder spray was of golden flowers and maidenhair fern. When Mr and Mrs L. A. Norton left for their honeymoon the bride wore a forest green frock, a brown tailored coat and furs, and accessories to match. List of Guests The invited guests were:—The Rev. and Mrs H. G.
