LATE SIR CHARLES BARRIE
DELAY IN BIOGRAPHY FRESH IMPORTANT MATERIAL Denis Mackail, who has been engaged for some time on the authorised biography of Sir James Barrie, is said to be somewhat overyhelmed by an unexpected amount of fresh and important material which has been placed at his disposal (states the Glasgow Herald). This is so much the case, indeed, that the book, which was expected to be ready for autumn publication, is now unlikely to make its appearance until the spring of next year. BOOK BY LAWRENCE DESPATCHES FROM ARABIA AN EXPENSIVE EDITION The “Golden Cockerel Press” is to publish this month a limited edition of “Secret Despatches from Arabia,” by T. E. Lawrence, with an introduction by his brother, Mr A. W. Lawrence. Limited to 1000 numbered copies, the book in the “ordinary” edition will be issued at three guineas.
