HARPER NOVEL PRIZE

“CHILDREN OF GOD” VARDIS FISHER WINS £ISOO Harper, New York, has just announced the award of the £ISOO Harper Novel Prize for 1939-40 to Vardis Fisher, for his book “Children of God,” a story of the development of the Mormon settlements. The judges who selected it for the award were Louis Bromfield, Carl Van Doren and Josephine W. Johnson.
