Mr R. Coulter, Mayor of Te Aroha, visited Hamilton last night. Mr R. C. Chappie, of Sydney, is in 'Hamilton. Messrs J. W. Brown, W. McKinnon, M. Mead, G. Sparrow, and R. J. Williams (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr G. S. Boyes, of Hamilton, was elected president of the Waikato bran'ch of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, at the annual meeting last night. Mr I. J. Bridger, Director-General of the Red Cross Society, arrived in Hamilton last night from Auckland. Today he visited Ngaruawahia and Te Awamutu. Mr H. A. Young, S.M., chairman of the Post and Telegraph Appeal Board, who has been attending sittings of the board in North Island centres, has returned to Christchurch and has resumed magisterial duties. Major Iv. L. Stewart, 0.8. E., N. who has been general staff officer at the Southern Military Command, has arrived at Wellington from ■Christchurch on transfer to Army Headquarters. Mr J. Bailey, who has been first assistant at the Waitoa dried milk factory for the past 11 years, has been appointed manager of the Te Awamutu factory. He replaces Mr J. Roberts, who was recently appointed manager of a large organisation in Melbourne.
