EMBASSY STAFF IN DANGER GALLANT POLISH AIRMAN RAMMED GERMAN MACHINE (United Press Assn.—Elec. TeL Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 16 A broadcast from Lwow states that a car containing members of the Birtish Embassy staff was caught in machine-gun lire from a German aeroplane flying at a height of 150 feet near Krzemieniec. There were no casualties. The car contained a woman and some children. The Polish Telegraph Agency states that Lieutenant Pilusinski attacked 12 German bombers single-handed. When his ammunition gave out he deliberately rammed a German machine. Sergeant Barcinowsky, after shooting down a bomber near Modlin, was wounded. He too rammed a machine and was killed In the crash.

Another Polish pilot who followed suit landed safety by parachute.
