Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 16 The Vilna radio reports that 18 German aeroplanes dropped 200 bombs causing shock and carnage in the centre of the city. The death-roll is immense and the casualties are mainly women and children. Polish despatches say that German machines continue to attack defenceless refugee trains and Rod Cross columns, swooping, low and massacring civilians with bombs and machineguns.
