RECORD TAKINGS
WINTER SHOW CROWDB BIG ATTENDANCE ON* SATURDAY Up till Saturday night the gate takings at the Waikafo Winter Show constituted a record, but with only two days this week instead of the usual three it is not yet possible to say how the total figures this year will compare with those of last year. Large crowds thronged the show buildings last week and there was no slackening in public interest from the opening day on '1 uesday until Saturday. Saturday was a big day at the show, for many townspeople took the opportune the half-day afforded to make their first inspection of the great exhibition.
