TWO RIDERS INJURED
MISHAPS IN HUNTING FIELD AUCKLAND, Wednesday While attending a meet of the Pakuranga Hunt at Waiuku yesterday, Mrs Martin Wright, of Mauku, was thrown when her mount failed to clear an obstacle. She received a broken collarbone, a fractured rib and an injured pelvis. Mr J. Rook, of Aka Aka, was taking the horse from the Held and attempted to negotiate a fence. The animal again failed to make the jump and threw its rider, who received an internal Injury. CRASH INTO STREAM AUCKLAND, Wednesday Misses K. and G. Geering, of Kaeo, while motoring towards Auckland in a thick fog yesterday morning in attempting to avoid a cow near the Dairy Flat Bridge, crashed through the bridge rail into the Rangitopum stream. The car turned a somersault and landed upside down in the water. The occupants extricated themselves with difficulty, and were later able to proceed by service car. Their car was considerably damaged, il taking four hours to drag' it back l u the road.
