Three cross-bred lambs: —N. Garvin (Raglan), 1; Paerenga Estate, 2; D. W. Ariell (.Maungatautiri), 3. Commenting on the winning group the juGjges stated they were an excellent group of lambs. All were verygood butchers’ meat but three lambs were carrying just a trifle too much fat. The lambs placed second were also good but several were carrying too much fat on the inside. Of the Morrinsville lambs the judges said that they were a good lot but five were rather weak on the hacks and legs. The group placed fourth were good lambs, but eight tended to be weak on the barks and legs and generally carrying too much fat on thp inside. Mr Garvin’s winning entry were considered by the judges to he excellent lambs of perfect shape and finish and were splendid butchers’ meat. Thrre. of the second prize lambs were very good but one was slightly weak on the back but all were good butchers* meat. Although very good the lambs placed third were not quite up to the standard of those from the Paerenga Estate and here again one lamb was weak of the back. ARE YOU GREY?
