DOMINION PIG CLUBS
SUPERVISORS CONFER CONFERENCE IN HAMILTON A conference of district pig supervisors, representing the various council areas in the Dominion, was held in Hamilton yesterday when the superintendent of the pig industry, Mr M. J. Scott, presided. The supervisors present were Messrs C. M. H. Sorenson (Taranaki), E. P. Neilson (Wellington), W. A. Beatie (Northland), A. Longwell (Auckland), J. tieenvurg (Bay of Plenty), H. Hopkins (Poverty Bay), H. W. Mclntosh (Canterbury) and C. P. Harington (Waikato). Many matters of importance to the pig club movement were discussed, particularly the question of tattooing, it was considered that it would be of no advantage to alter the present system, but it was decided that the tattooing of young pigs with small tattoos could be introduced with advantage. The keeping of records to demonstrate the difference Detween the pigs supplied by the pig clubs and ordinary grade pigs was also considered favourably.
Other matters discussed at the conference were of a domestic nature.
