RULETTE’B PLEABINQ SPRINT SCOTLAND BEATS JONATHAN GOLDEN SHEILA HITS OUT The final gallops for the Te Aroht meeting took place on the course proper and inner grass track, both of which provided excellent going. Silver Eagle had a slight advantage over Rival over five furlongs in 1.3. Suleiman went a round, moving fast over the last three furlongs in 36 l-ss.

Kakareke and Star Vaal ran five furlonigs in 1.4 with very little between them. Aynho, under a nice hold, traversed five furlongs in 1.14. Haile Boy and Kenneth Robert got to the end of five furlongs in 1.3.

Sir Robin galloped freely over five furlongs in 1.3 2-5. Rulcttc, Mon Acre and Lady Meath Jumped off at the six furlong post, the first named scoring by a head, with the other two in line, in 1.14 3-5.

Silver Stick, La Vie and Peru finished in that order over five furlongs in 1.5.

Hesketoon, who has freshened up perceptibly, beat Bulwark by four lengths over five furlongs In 1.3 1-5. Odtaa, alone, got over the same distance, in 1.5.

Lady Montana, galloping freely, traversed a round, running on in 2.15. Gay Chou sprinted down th« straight. A Solid Trial Jonathan and Scotland Jumped off at the mile post on the course proper and kept close company throughout. Jonathan was a head in front at the post but in the next stride Scotland had a slight advantage in 1.45 1-5. Galilee (Goulsbro) and Golden Sheila (Tremain) were associated over a mile. The first-named led along the back stretch by a length and a-half but before reaching the half-mile Golden Sheila joined the issue, and, racing along smoothly, scored by a short head in 1.45 1-5. Surmise dashed over two furlongs In 26 2-5 s and Foxmond registered 49 2-5 s for four furlongs. Several others, including Coronation, were allotted useful work.
