Surgical Work Investigations by the New Zealand branch of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons into the standard of surgical work in the Dominion’s hospitals are nearly completed, and it is likely that soon the recommendations of those who carried out the investigations will be submitted to the Government. This was indicated by Dr R. A. Shore, acting-Director-General of the Department of Health, when speaking to doctors who are attending the biennial conference at Christchurch of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association.
