MARRIED WOMAN’S DEATH COLLISION AT PUKETURUA A verdict that Mrs Gladys Moana Pearce (35), of Puketurua, died from a laceration of the brain received in a collision between the car in which she was a passenger and which was driven by her husband, Gilbert Alan Pearce, farmer, of Puketurua, and a car driven bv Gordon James Walker, was returned by the coroner, Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., when the inquest into the death of Mrs Pearce was concluded in Hamilton to-day.

Evidence was given by Dr. C. S. Preston, of the Waikato Hospital, who said Mrs Pearce was admitted to the hospital on New Year s Eve. He examined her the following morning when she was still unconscious. Her condition became worse and she died on January 3. In the doctor's opinion death was due to laceration of the brain following head injuries.
