Mr H. E. Edgley, chairman of the Napier Chamber of Commerce, who is to leave Napier in May on a tour abroad, will represent the Napier body at. the Empire Chambers of Commerce conference in London in July.

Mr A. A. Woodward, engineer of the Waikato County Council, and Mr J. W. Civil, engineer of the Waipa County Council, are attending the annual conference of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers in Auckland.

Mr J. N. Munro, signal and electric hnes inspector at Frankton Junction Railway Station, has been transferred to Woolston and left at the end of last week. He has been promoted to electric traction inspector. Mr L. Fahy, who was electric lines inspector at Frankton prior to Mr Munro's appointment about six months ago, has returned to his former position.
