CRASH INTO BANK
THREE FIREMEN INJURED \VH AT AW HAT A ACCIDENT When a car in which they were travelling capsized on a bend on the Frankton-Whatawhata road about three miles from Whatawhata at 9.30 a.m. yesterday three members of the Hamifton lire brigade, Messrs B. L. J. Kingston, Richard Nowland and Colin Thompson, were injured. All three were taken to the Waikato Hospital by St. John ambulance, but Messrs Kingston and Thompson, who suffered lacerations and shock respectively, were discharged after treatment. Mr Nowland was admitted with severe head injuries and is in a fairly serious condition. The car, which was driven by Mr Kingston, was bound for Raglan when it crashed into a bank, capsized and came to rest facing in the opposite direction. Before the passengers could be extricated the car had to be righted by a motor-truck. < .onsidorable damage was done to the car, which was a rental vehicle.
