DROWNING TRAGEDY
BATHING WITH COMPANIONS DECEASED UNABLE TO SWIM (By Telegraph —Press Association) GISBORNE, Saturday A half-caste Maori, Donald Farrow (12), son of Mr and Mrs John Farrow, of Gisborne, was drowned in the Waiapu River at Tiki Tiki yesterday afternoon. With four other boys deceased, who could not swim, went for a bathe in a deep hole. When it was realised that he was in difficulties his companions went for assistance but some time elapsed before the body was recovered.
