POWER BOARD LOAN

ADVANCED BY CORPORATION MONEY FOR RETICULATION After a delay of a few weeks the Central Waikato Electric Power Board has been granted a loan of £12,500 for reticulation from the State Advances Corporation. Advice to this effect was received at the meeting of the board to-day. Regarding the proposed special 1939 loan of £50.000, the board asked the Local Government Loans Board the position regarding consent to raising the loan. No information had been received from the Loans Board at the meeting of the power board to-day, but the chairman, Mr T. Hinton, moved a notice of motion in anticipation of a reply from the Loans Board. The notice of motion authorised the raising of a special loan of £50,000 for further reticulation within the board's district in terms of consent issued by Local Government Loans Board. A special meeting to confirm the motion will be called.
